The expansion of the Talison mine site in Greenbushes was constructed to maximise the mining potential of the largest known lithium deposit in the world.
The project ran over nine months across ten different separable portions and required in excess of 100 operatives to meet the deadlines in delivering in-situ concrete construction to various slabs, pedestals, pits, sumps, bunkers, walls, suspended slabs and vaults comprising:
– 12,000 m3 of concrete
– 2,000 tonnes of reinforcing steel
– 20,000 m2 of formwork
– 5000 m2 of scaffolding
– 200,00 man hours (and no LTI’s)
