The $360 million Perth City Link rail project was delivered as an alliance consisting of the Public Transport Authority, John Holland and GHD. The scope involved sinking a 600-metre section of the Fremantle rail line to reconnect the CBD with Northbridge, a new pedestrian underpass connecting Perth and Perth Underground stations, and major upgrade works to Perth Station.
After the construction of the Perth City Link was complete DCL Contracting were engaged by John Holland to carry out track maintenance and upgrade works at the Perth Metro Train Station. These works were carried out during various shutdowns of the rail. As every minute counts when it comes to rail DCL Contracting understood the importance or completing the works on time and safely to ensure no delays to the train were encountered.
